Madeleine has an extensive background in finance that started in investment banking on Wall Street at Morgan Stanley. From there she went on to work in financial leadership roles in the utilities industry and served as CFO of Cinergy (now Duke Energy) where her responsibilities included treasury, accounting, budgeting and forecasting, internal audit, investor relations, compensation and benefits. She went on to co-found and serve as Managing Director of venture capital firm West Capital Advisors which had multiple successful exits including Bill.com. She also currently serves on the board of a public utility and a mutual fund. Madeleine holds an undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
