Patty received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she graduated first in her class. She completed a residency in Pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In 1999, she founded The Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, a diagnostic, treatment and research program serving and supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a Developmental Pediatrician, Patty worked with thousands of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities, and their families. Patty served in numerous leadership positions at Cincinnati Children’s, including Chief of Staff from 2019-2023. In her retirement, Patty is focusing her efforts on building supports for adults with developmental disabilities.
